In order to use the loan services, you must be a member of the ASFA academic society and hold a library card.

If you are a member of the academic staff, you may obtain a library card at the library loan desk at any given time as long as you are carrying a photograph of yourself with you. If you ‘re a student, you may obtain a library card at any given time, as long as you carry a photograph of yourself and your student ID card with you. T he library card is strictly personal and in the case of loss, you are to report it to the Library immediately .

If you are a member of the academic or managerial staff, an emeritus professor or a postgraduate student, you may loan any item except for journals, short reference books (encyclopedias, dictionaries, bibliographies etc.), special collection books or copies of works. All DVD-videos, cd-roms can only be loaned for a day, and strictly for educational purposes.If you’re a student, you may borrow all books of theoretical content books (containing little to no images). You may not borrow books that are illustrated or journals, short reference books (encyclopedias, dictionaries, bibliographies etc.), special collection books or copies of works and audiovisual material.

Academic Staff Maximum Number of Books: 20, Loaning Period (in weeks): 4.

Emeritus professors Maximum Number of Books: 5, Loaning Period (in weeks): 4.

Managerial Staff Maximum Number of Books: 5, Loaning Period (in weeks): 4.

Post-Graduate students Maximum Number of Books: 5, Loaning Period (in weeks): 2.

Students Maximum Number of Books: 5, Loaning Period (in weeks): 2

You ‘re allowed one renewal per borrowed item and as long as it is not overdue .You may renew at the library loan desk or by phone at 210 4801204.You cannot renew any loan items reserved by another reader.

In case where items are overdue, you will be fined 0.15 euro per item per day, weekends and holidays excluded.

In case of damage (underline, slit pages) or loss of any item, it is your responsibility to replace it. Failure to do so, will lead to a replacement fee equivalent to the item’s cost.

In order to borrow items that are currently loaned by other users, you can inquire at the library loan desk where the librarian will make the reservation for you. On return of the requested item, you will be notified by phone or e-mail.
